Depending on the various locations I would like to create a project that reflects on my childhood years in Scheveningen. I was born close to the sea. These years are the embodiment of my 'perfect world'. There were no dilemmas, no worries and no one died in my surroundings. It was the period when 'life was exactly as it seemed'. Even from far away.
Sandy, old-fashioned sweets such as marshmallows, boiled lollies and liquorice will be handed out. A memory that inspires this installation and video.
In another area I'd also like to show the video piece "Riet"
(about a 51 year old woman who is totally into horses)
in combination with the sculpture work as seen above. An installation
of randomly placed sculptures of a hoof, or a larger section of a horse
coupled with a television. What I will exactly choose is dependant on
the location.
