My ideas behind 'a perfect world' run parallel to that of the mental makeup of a person. Our mental tendencies give a certain viewpoint on life/the day/the world. A Perfect World. They are caused through chemical processes in our bodies and minds and therefore ensure that we feel happy for example. Certain events can directly catalyse these processes. Triggers such as kissing, birth, marriage, laughing etc. We can also synthetically formulate these processes in our bodies. Not by social drugs but by medicines such as prozac etc.
What I want to do is work with medicines that can affect our person. How I'll show this I am not completely sure at this stage. Either I will use the medicine as an inspiration for words such as kissing, birth, marriage, smiling, winning etc or I will make bags of pills that can be associated with photographs that trigger a particular event . . . . or I could even support this all through the medium of video. Furthermore there is the possibility of enlarging the medical instructions; an A0 screen print of Prozac for example. I will then most likely make changes to the text . . . . .
