Working Process:
“Looking for different people to pose for the camera in a studio situation. Unfortunately, there’s no money in it but you will naturally receive great photos in return”.
I placed this advertisement on the site www.nftvm.nl They were naturally strangers to me so I thought I’d arrange two photo sessions with them. The first to get to know them from behind the lens and the second to shoot with my own vision in mind. Initially I made relatively simple portraits which lead me to the idea of asking the participants to describe their dreams and nightmares. With this information in mind I shot the second session. I chose the images that for me where the most interesting. ‘A perfect world’ for me? What connects us all in life are our deepest fears and our most beautiful dreams.
